 | Richard Budde President Richard Budde started right out of college in the insurance business. 1979 got his brokers license and wanted to work for his father (Ralph) who owned the agency then. Ralph said, “No, get a job somewhere else and make your mistakes and I will hire you in three years”. During that time he worked for Equitable Life and obtained his CLU designation. Of course he still worked part time for Ralph slowly earning his trust and by 1984 Richard bought the agency. The process took about three years with Ralph taking more and more time off. Now Richard has been in the business 32 years with a staff of 9 full and part time very competent people. “ I love my work, I have a great wife who backs me 100% and 3 great kids. When not working he loves his golf and fishing. |
 | Daniel Waldeck Commercial Lines Dan Waldeck graduated in 2002 from Binghamton University with a degree in Economics. Dan has worked in the insurance industry since 1997 and after finally finding the established professional agency he was looking for, in 2005 he began working at The Budde Agency. Dan is married with two very happy little girls. Family is most important to him but meeting and working with new clients is something that he looks forward to every day. Dan currently holds his NYS Insurance Broker’s license and writes commercial lines new business for the agency. Give him a call to discuss what he may be able to do for you and your business.  | Laura Howell Commercial Lines In the private sector, Laura served on the school board for 3 years and was president of a non profit raising over $100,000 each year for charities. She has been licensed over 20 years and specializes in large construction accounts. Starting as an underwriting technician, she worked her way up to account executive maintaining a $7,000,000 book of large construction industry insurance. Her work includes underwriting, marketing of renewal accounts, analyzing of coverage, servicing, and shopping accounts. Laura’s good computer skills specializing in Microsoft Word & Office combine with her ability to communicate with the clients and the companies, making her a very valuable asset to the Budde Agency. |
 | Shirley Scoca Commercial Lines Shirley Scoca is a native Virginian who attended Radford University, SUNY and completed a tour in the US Air Force. She graduated from new Life Women’s center and currently teaches night courses at the The History Makers School of Ministry. Shirley volunteers in the Puppet Ministry and she has a passion for mentoring youth. Motto: You’re not completely dressed until you put on a smile. |
 | Ellen Roeder Personal Lines Ellen Rueder attended Queensborough Community College and has worked in the insurance industry since 1983. She began working at the The Budde Agency in 2005 and writes Personal lines with the agency. |
 | Carmella Pagluica Personal Lines Carmella Pagluica has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry with a New York State Brokers, Life/Health and Property & Casualty license. Here responsibilities at the Budde Agency focus on Personal Insurance. Carmella prides herself on providing her clients with quality insurance needs while creating long-lasting relationships. |
 | Maureen Moore Personal Lines Maureen Moore has a degree in Economics from Rutgers College. After working for 10 years in the reinsurance industry, she took time off to raise her family. Maureen joined the Budde Agency on a part-time basis in 2002. She now works full-time in the personal lines department. |
